Why see Company?
We'll Drink To That
Phone rings, door chimes, in comes... Company! After taking London and Broadway by storm (and garnering four Tony Awards), Marianne Elliot's gender-bent production of the Stephen Sondheim classic is now hitting the road on tour! First seen in 1970, Company was like no other Broadway musical of the time, disrupting the usual plotlines with a fresh series of vignettes that connect the intersecting lives and relationships of the characters.
Songs such as 'Ladies Who Lunch', 'Getting Married Today' and 'Company' showcase Sondheim at his most sublime and manipulative. Originally directed and produced by the late Harold Prince, this revival is a gorgeous tribute to the great Broadway director.
What's The Story?
Bobbi (traditionally Robert up till now) is celebrating her 35th birthday in the company of her friends, all of whom are either married or engaged. Through a series of visits with the couples we learn that the well-liked Bobbi has trouble with commitment as evidenced in her numerous affairs, but still hopes to find the right person for her. As each group has its say on Bobbi's singledom and marriage prospects (and state of their own), Company begins to question the old adage; is the grass really greener on the other side?

Profound, Refreshing, Brilliant
In a production that could be dubbed an 'Instagrammer's dream' Company explodes back onto the stage! This time though it's a magical gender-swapped revamp of the classic Sondheim musical.
