Drill Music Forerunner Chief Keef On Tour

At the tender age of 16, Chicago rapper Chief Keef tore up the streets of his home city with when he dropped his debut single I Don't Like in 2012, garnering 28 million views in YouTube that same year. The track was later remixed by the likes of Lil Wayne, The Game and Kanye West, and the viral success of his subsequent videos and mixtapes led to a signing with Interscope records. Now Chief Keef is a staple of the US rap scene. Don't miss the drill icon on a mammoth tour of North America this year.

Chief Keef's initial mixtape experimentations saw his rise to the forefront of drill music, a hip hop subgenre hailing from Chicago's south side, characterised by ominous trap beats and dark, violent lyrics. Keef has recently overcome his initial involvement with crime, which influenced much of his songs' true-to-life subject matter, and now self-releases through his own label Glo Gang.
