Phenomenal Phantom!
We saw Phantom Of The Opera at The (Fabulous) Fox Theater on May 9, 2018. I am sure everyone knows the story, so I won't waste time. But, I can tell you that this cast is electric, the scenery more than appropriate and the singing was nothing shout of outstanding! I was surprised that the place was filled close to capacity for a Wednesday evening, but everyone (as far as I could tell) had a great time. I encourage any of my fellow Saint Louis neighbors to go visit The Fox and get a peek at a real classic. You will not be sorry, that I can guarantee.
Phantom of the Opera, May 9, 2018
I have seen the Phantom of the Opera twice before at our beautiful Fox Theater. Both times were superb. But, last night's performance (advertised as bigger and better) blew me away! The voices were phenomenal! Every single character had exceptional voices! The scenery and costumes were breathtaking! And the orchestra and organist hit every note perfectly! I was so moved when I left that I couldn't even talk. Even today the gorgeous songs keep going through my head. This performance raised the bar extremely high. Bravo to the entire ensemble!
Phantom’s Reign
Phantom of the Opera at Denver’s Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre was nothing short of spectacular. From the first note to the final fall of the curtain, the performance was absolutely breathtaking. Isaiah Bailey, as the Phantom, delivered a rich, raw performance that moved me to tears. Alexa Moster’s pure, crystal-clear tone paired beautifully with both Bailey and Daniel Lopez, whose smooth, sultry presence as Raoul brought depth and undeniable charm to the production. Midori Marsh proved that even at altitude, extraordinary breath control and a commanding operatic performance can leave an audience in awe. I was so overwhelmed by this production that it took me over an hour to process my thoughts enough to share them without becoming emotional. It is rare to experience a cast so powerful that they can move an audience to silence, tears, and complete breathlessness. Because of Isaiah Bailey’s performance as the Phantom… I am officially Team Phantom for life. Sorry, Raoul—I’m Team OG.
Fantastic show as to be expected
The show was amazing and couldn’t have been better. From the cast, the music, the sets, and performances, it was everything my 16 year old daughter dreamed it would be. Even braving subzero temps it was so worth the money and the watch. I would gladly see again with this wonderfully awesome cast.
Phantom of the Opera
Phantom of the Opera is a magnificent show with the theatre full, the two times I saw it on Broadway. How in heavens name was it cancelled. Too expensive to produce you say. Balderdash, if the show was always booked solid then the price structure could have been revised. Fools always ruin a good thing.
Best show EVER!
If you only see one Broadway show in your life, make it Phantom of the Opera. I’ve seen 47 Broadway shows and enjoyed all of them but this was by far the best ever.
